one for sorrow @ the smokehouse gallery for the spring exhibition
The huge smokehouse gallery overlooks the olympic stadium and its internal architecture reflects this strongly!
View from the gallery
Details of how to get there are to be found on the smokehouse website.
I have taken a short video of the work on the mural / drawing so far at Norlington Road – I will be making a finished video and a short book of the completed piece but until then…
A drawing made as part of the Leytonstone arts trail over a period of about 2 weeks spending 40 hours drawing, the piece is an unplanned organic drawing in Ink and tea which explores floral forms. Drawn in fountain pen ink and painted with various types of tea, specifically chai, Rooibos, blackcurrant & nettle and camomile vanilla & honey. The artwork references plants from both the front and rear of the house.

Just a quick add – I am donating a new piece fragile to a silent auction, and sale over at Horatia in Holloway road tomorrow 26th March. The piece is entitled fragile, and is a graphite ink and tea sketch.
I have entered this piece in the Paris Showdown, apparently the top 128 entrants are able to enter the physical work into the Paris exhibition so fingers crossed, would love to show Parassita there. If you have the time you can vote for the piece here

Just finished this piece and pleased with the way the colour works with this type of tea. Also working the roots was a very fluid process, would enjoy making an abstract piece made up entirely of this type of form.
